The Department of Anthropology encourages its undergraduate majors to participate in internships in addition to their coursework. Internships provide the opportunity for students to combine their anthropological knowledge with hands-on experience and engage with new professional and community networks. There are a number of anthropological internships available — locally, nationally, and globally. Through our internship office, we can help you match your interests with those of a community partner. Check-out our Internship Finder to begin your search.
Funding your Internship
Although some internships are paid, many are not. Therefore, the department offers funding to supplement your internship efforts. Through a generous grant provided by alumnus Paul Liebman, we help ensure that financial concerns are never a barrier to attaining a great internship experience.
Priority Deadline: Feb. 1st and April 1st and on a rolling basis, up to June 1st based on fund availability. Apply here
