Biography

I am a PhD student in Archaeology. I received my B.A. in English Langauge Education with a double major in Philosophy and an M.A. in Heritage Studies. I have working experience with heritage organizations in England and South Korea, including the National Trust and UNESCO Category 2 Centre.

Research Interests

My research interest centers around public/community engagement with the heritage-making process and using heritage for peace and reconciliation in conflict-affected areas. In my research, I want to focus on the Demilitarized Zone between North Korea and South Korea and explore public perceptions about transforming meanings and memories associated with the DMZ from conflict and trauma to peace and reconciliation.
