Biography
I'm originally from Missouri, but after I graduated from my undergraduate university I lived in Wyoming for three years before coming to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Research Interests
My research focuses on historical, industrial, and mortuary archaeology and industrial heritage. I am specifically interested in heritage networks in the preservation of ghost towns and the ways that cemeteries reflect sociocultural relationships, as well as the role that cemeteries play in maintaining or erasing boundaries. In the past, my research has focused on the early industrial Intermountain West region of the United States, though my current scope incorporates sites from throughout the United States.
