Biography
Henrique (he/him) is an international student from Brazil. He holds a Bachelor's Degree and Teaching License in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo. Henrique is currently a PhD student of Linguistic Anthropology at Illinois, a former Werner Baer Doctoral Fellow at UofI's Lemann Center for Brazilian Studies, and a former Career Exploration Fellow at UofI's Graduate College, where he worked with the Assistant Provost for Communications and Strategic Planning. Between 2022 and 2024, he was member of the editorial board of Primeiros Estudos, a social sciences academic journal, and was responsible for recreating the journal's visual identity. In 2023 he was Text/Poetry Finalist of the 30th Nascente USP (the University of São Paulo's yearly cultural contest).
