Biography
I am pursuing a PhD in Biological Anthropology at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (UIUC). Prior to UIUC, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) from Makerere University in Uganda and a Masters of Science in International Animal Health (MSc-IAH) from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. My research focuses on deciphering the ecology and evolution of infectious zoonotic diseases in humans and nonhuman primates through host microbial surveillance, metagenomics, phylogenetics and their associated ecoimmunology.
