Biography

Kasia Szremski has served as the Associate Director for the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies since 2016. As Associate Director, Kasia oversees the Center's academic and public outreach programing and teaches Introduction to Latin American Studies (Summer) and Archaeology Field School in Peru (Summer). She holds a PhD in anthropology and has an ongoing research project in Peru focused on Chancay archaeology.

  • 2021 National Endowment for the Humanities Museums for Americas Grant: Andean Gallery Reinstallation Project, $200,000. Co-written with Allyson Purpura.
  • 2020 Institute for Museum and Library Services Museums for America Grant: Ancient Andean Art Gallery Reinstallation, $250,000. Co-written with Allyson Purpura.
