An editorial in Nature Genetics highlights the exceptional work carried out by Professor Ripan Malhi's Summer internship for INdigenous peoples in Genomics (SING) Consortium, and its most recent accomplishment: the international conference in Aotearoa, New Zealand, the first international conference on indigenous communities. The editorial celebrated the research and activities of the SING Consortium as a step forward to more inclusive and innovative practices, at an exciting time for Genetics research.
