In a thought-provoking piece published this morning on the Hill, Professor Desmond of Anthropology suggests it may be time to cut down on fireworks noise. "Silent" fireworks, she argues, can deliver the same fascinating visual effects, without the sounds that can be causing or triggering trauma for people and animals alike.
