Join us in congratulating Anthropology graduate students Nicole Cox and Dilara Caliskan for being awarded an HRI Graduate Student Fellowship for AY 2022-23! 

Cox's dissertation research "investigates the presence of dancing in India’s cultural relations, a foreign relations practice that connects people abroad with the heritage, people, or cultural practices of India. Through this work, [she] investigates how the embodied experiences and communication of participants in such programs articulates with state discourses about art, cultural exchange, and international relations."

Caliskan's dissertation focuses on trans and queer forms of memory transmission and relatedness in Turkey.
