Over the course of his decades of service to the AABA, Dr. Konigsberg has served in many roles including Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and as the Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook. In addition to service to AABA, he has served section H of the AAAS and the FBI Scientific Working Group for Disaster Victim Identification, and is a dedicated mentor to colleagues and students.
The Gabriel W. Lasker Service Award was established in 2005 to recognize and honor individuals who have demonstrated a history of excellence in service to the American Association of Biological/Physical Anthropologists, its members, and/or the field of biological anthropology. Nominees do not have to be AABA members.
