Maritza Quiñones-Rivera has retired, after 11 years of dedicated service to the Anthropology Department. She will be sorely missed.
Throughout her tenure, Dr. Quiñones has been an exceptional advocate, guide, and source of encouragement for countless students. Her care, professionalism, and commitment to helping students navigate their academic journeys have made a lasting difference in our university community. She approached her work with patience, knowledge, and genuine compassion, ensuring that students felt supported as they made important decisions about their education and future.
Dr. Quiñones has also been a valued colleague whose dedication to her role and steady presence have strengthened our office and department. Her contributions, institutional knowledge, and thoughtful approach will be greatly missed.
