The papers must be cleanly typed, and the format should follow American Anthropologist, American Antiquity, or American Journal of Physical Anthropology style guidelines. The paper must be anthropological in subject matter and approach. Research papers, fieldwork analyses, independent projects, and master's papers are all acceptable entries. The paper text must have been written or substantially developed while the student has been at the University of Illinois. It must not exceed 35 pages (12pt. double-spaced) in length including texts, notes, bib. all double spaced to be considered (excluding tables and graphs and illustrations).
